Dinner with friends: Vero & Suso

On Friday we went for dinner with our good friends Vero and Suso. They had never been to one of our favorite restaurants in the city, tavern O Bebedeiro. So we made a reservation (required) and there we went. The food, as always, was impressive. Whenever we leave the place Vic is always saying that it was the best meal ever ... very funny. But the truth is, It´s oh so good. So, again, I can only recommend to visit this place if you ever are in A Coruña.

After dinner we went for some drinks to another of our favorites, Barlovento in Montealto. We enjoyed their amazing "Mojitos" by barman/entrepeneur and friend Luis Rodriguez... you can not imagine how eager I am for a mojito ... this time I had to settle for ice-tea ...

What could you ask for more on a Friday night? It was great! as always ...

Packing Enzo's bag for the hospital

I don't know if I've waited too much, or maybe I've done it too soon but the fact is that today I finally decided and I have prepared the maternity bag for Enzo,to bring to the hospital.

The truth is that in recent weeks there have been several people who have asked me "Have you already prepared the hospital bag?" and I always said no ... but now I can say very proudly that yes, I have already prepared the bag to rush to the hospital when the time comes and give the sweetest welcome to our little baby.

I'm already 36 weeks pregnant and tomorrow for our first monitoring so that we can check the heart of our baby and possibly spot some early contractions ... It´s only now when I start to feel slightly nervous... because the days literally fly ... and we still have so much to do and prepare ...

The important thing is that I'm still feeling very well and Vic and I are enjoying this sweet moment of our lives, full of love ... I'm sure when I finally have my little Enzo in my arms I will change my opinion but right now I think I've never been so happy ...

Dinner at home

Yesterday we had dinner at home with my super cool cousin, Manu, and his beautiful girlfriend, Debora. Believe me when I say that I really wanted to see them. It was a great time ... chatting and laughing (a lot) until later than 4 am ... So today despite being very tired I'm super happy. I hope to repeat very soon guys!

Tomorrow is Monday ... I wish you all the best possible start to the week!

Enzo's bassinet

Yesterday I could not resist any longer and had to prepare little Enzo's bassinet. So many months ago that we have it at home that  I can't understand how I managed not to fall into temptation before ... It was very exciting when I  put the little sheets and blankets and imagined that in a few days our little baby will be peacefully asleep in there next to our bed... one day less!!!

Already 35 weeks pregnant...

Well, one more week and already 35 weeks pregnant ...

Over here everything is great. The day after tomorrow we have an appointment with the doctor and honestly can not wait to see our little baby ... although I feel him constantly moving inside my belly, we are always thrilled when we see him moving across the screen during the ultrasound ... it´s so magical to see as your baby grows and prepares for birth ...

Today Vic has come home after a long day at work and the first thing he said was "You can't know how much I have wanted to have our baby" ... I couldn't be more happy.

Happy Birthday my love.

This amazing guy, my husband, my love ... turned 30 last Tuesday! For this reason we went to have dinner with our friend Farid to one of our favorite restaurants in A Coruña. This place, Adega O Bebedeiro , is a legendary local in the city, with over thirty years of history. It's specializes in traditional food combining this with some innovative cuisine. And I would recommend it to anyone, I love it!

So, although you already know that we don't like to celebrate in any special way our birthday ... the dinner was great, we had so much fun and I think Victor had a very pleasant time, which fills me with joy.

When we were returning home in the car, after dinner, I couldn't stop thinking about when I felt in love with him, how my life has changed since he suddenly appeared, as he makes me happy every day and now more than ever ...

34 weeks!!!

Now we´re at the final stage!

34 weeks pregnancy!!!!

Which means that we´re only missing four weeks, at most six, to have finally our little baby Enzo with us. It`s so exciting.

The time until now has literally flown. But it is true that this last stage is passing by a bit more slowly. Maybe because every day we're more and more anxious to meet our little boy, because I feel increasingly more overweight and clumsy and my clothes already don't fit, neither my shoes ... Lately my feet and ankles look like those of an elephant. Even my hands are swollen and I had to take off my engagement ring and wedding ring... and bla bla bla...

But I have to tell you that all this is just nonsense ... it's so amazing to me feeling a little life in my belly that everything else does´nt matter ... I just want to make the most of my remaining time of pregnancy and prepare well to be a good mother to Enzo.

And I´m extremely happy because I have by my side the best husband, the best friend and of course the best father in the world for this baby.

Holidays with Farid

I'm happy because we're on vacation ... it's just a week but for me it's time enough to relax, to enjoy and to live some carefree, lazy days. Also, since yesterday until Friday, we have a very special guest with us. One of Vic´s best friends, Farid, came from Holland to spend a few days with us. I know that it means a lot to both, to spend some holidays together ... so my husband is happy and therefore I'm also happy ... it could not be otherwise.

I took these photos yesterday, when we went, after lunch, to take a walk until the icon of our city, the Tower of Hercules.

Upss ... I almost forgot to tell you that today is an extra special day because it´s the birthday of my husband that meets, no more and no less than 30 years ... tonight we´ll celebrate with a small and very special dinner with our guest ... it´s a very sweet moment in our lives and we have much to be thankful for.

Early walk in the morning

These pictures are from last Sunday. We were spending the weekend at the country house of my parents and we went for a walk early in the morning. I have to admit that even though I love to walk, and more still in the woods, I find myself increasingly more uncomfortable because of my big belly, the gained weight and stifling heat that has been around here these days .. .. but nevertheless we enjoyed, as always, nature, landscape, sunlight and the excellent company of the love of your life.

Right now I'm 33 weeks pregnant, and I´m beginning to know what it´s like to have real swollen feet and ankles ... I know it's normal ... but it can be a bit frustrating when you get up in the morning and none of your shoes fit. ... I'm really sorry for those of you still on vacation but I'm honestly looking forward to the cold ...

33 weeks of pregnancy
