Pull&Bear Shop Online

A few days ago I made my first online order on the website of Pull&Bear and this morning I received it in my house. I am so surprised by the service and quality. So easy to shop from your sofa these days.

"Prométeme que serás libre" (Promise me you will be free)

I have a real weakness for historic novels. That ´s why when I joined the Readers Club I couldn’t resist to choose “Prométeme que serás libre” from Jorge Molist (“Promise me you will be free”) I didn’t have to much expectations about it but when I started it, it captured me and know I must recognize that I am completely hooked to the story of this guy, who is an apprentice, artilleryman, galley slave, soldier and bookseller…a son of a fisherman who confronted his destiny.

I definitely love Polaroids.

I definitely love Polaroids.

This one was taken last Friday during dinner at our place with our friends Lucía and Antonio. This Polaroid Camera is an 636 CloseUp model from the 80´s and belongs to my friend Vero. (don’t worry we will give it back someday) It´s not perfect, it has some fails and I especially am not looking very good, but even though it captures with precision the fun and nice time we had that night.  Every time I look at it, it makes me laugh.

Atardeceres no Gaiás: "La Bien Querida"

Yesterday afternoon/night we visited Santiago de Compostela. We went to the “City of Culture” (Cidade da Cultura). We never visited the place before and I must say that once you drive up the mountain and on top of it seeing those huge constructions and such open space, the feeling is surprising and unexpected at the least.  We cant really say weather we like it or not, but I tend to think that we do. There´s still so much to built and to finish, it´s like only one third of it once it´s all finished.  It´s difficult not to questionize the purpose and content of all this…I think it’s to big in dimensions and out of proportion.

The real motive of our visit, rather that visiting this controversial project, was to attend an acoustic concert of “La Bien Querida” closing the concerts of “Aterdeceres no Gaiás”, a really good initiative to listen to free open-air-summer-sunset-concerts (jazz, classic, electronic dj-sessions or even poems.)

We enjoyed the concert and the environment very much, despite the intense cold. We hope that during autumn and winter the activities at the “Cidade da Cultura” will continue and hopefully we can enjoy the environment as well.

Diana Instant Back

These are same pictures taken with the Diana Lomography Camera with an instant back adapter for instant pictures. Since a while ago we must admit that we have an addiction for these kind of photography. We also love Polaroids and on our last trip to NY a few months ago we bought a real vintage Polaroid Camera at Impossible Project.  It is also mucho more difficult to get a good picture with Polaroid. The film isn’t very precise and has fails. The bad thing of the Diana is that the film used is from Fujifilm and is very small though but still very cool!

The bad thing about all this is the price! The film and this type of photography is an expensive hobby but we will try to continue it.
