Pieces of a sunny Saturday morning at home

Tonight I have a carnival dinner with my colleagues. The theme this year: Mexico lindo y querido!

Yellow tulips of my love.

First day on the terrace! I love our back terrace! Today I was reading a little bit in the sun ... it seems that spring is near ...

Saturday Ritual: Vic prepares Mexican food for lunch.

Shrove/Carnival Tuesday

Today has been a strange, yet very special day and believe me, full of heavy and extraordinary emotions. I feel so happy ...

Victor had the day off because today, Shrove Tuesday, is a holiday in many places in our area but not for me. Normally this fact, having to go to work thinking that my sweet love stays home, in bed sleeping, would have caused some bad mood ... but today was different!

I went happily to work, spent time with my friends/colleges and after my work I went to my sweet grandmother's house to eat the delicious "cocido of carnival" that she had prepared. I've been with Vic, my parents, my grandparents, my dog Koka and I had a great time.

Right now I'm quietly sitting on the couch with my handsome husband reading by my side. I know that tomorrow will be a very long and hard day, because when I finish my job tomorrow I have to attend a course of basic skills of social interviewing but despite that ... I can not stop smiling.

I hope you have enjoyed all these days of carnival!

Mondays in the sun

I'm really grateful for this afternoon. After lunch, Vic and I, went for a walk to Mera. The truth is that we didn't walk too much, because we were both very tired, but we just sat on a wooden bench facing the sea, with the sweet sunshine hitting our faces and we were talking quietly about our day at work, our joys and our concerns. We waited until the sun set and we hugged and we felt full of gratitude just for having each other, for everything we have built together so far and everything new that hopefully will be coming soon. Today was a happy day.

It's carnival time

It's carnival time and this, in Galicia, besides many other things, means it's time to eat “cocido”“orejas” and “filloas”. ((For all this, you can understand that it is time to gain at least two or three kilos too)). So today, Sunday, Victor and I were invited to a carnival lunch at home of a brother of my grandmother. We enjoyed delicious traditional food, cooked by my aunt Fina, surrounded by the whole family, parents, grandparents, cousins, nephews ... it was a great day!

And what do you think of my sweet cousin, Iria? She is so pretty ... she was disguised  as Espinete, so cute!

Wild Valentines

My sweet love surprised me with this beautiful and wild bouquet of flowers. I think it's really lovely. Actually we don't celebrate Valentine's Day, you already know this ... my point of view is that it's only a meaningless date to push people to consume etc... because if you are in love you must celebrate it every day but ... well, a simple and natural detail full of love is always beautiful, right?
